Beth Yulpana – Introduction to Syriac

An introductory course in Syriac language and culture, taught in English by Michael David Ethington.

Objectives:

• Learn to read the three Syriac scripts
• Understand the fundamentals of Syriac grammar
• Use key online tools (Dukhrana, SEDRA, Simtho)
• Explore Syriac’s place in Late Antiquity — between the Roman and Iranian worlds
